Majesco, one of the fastest-growing software publishers, today announced they signed a new licensing distribution deal with Vivendi Universal Games International that will see VUGI publish 15 highly pursued Majesco SKU’s across the PC, console and handheld platforms over a two year period, extending their current relationship through to 2005. This significant deal enables Majesco to exploit its significant portfolio of high value licences globally, working in partnership with one of the biggest games publishers in the world.

Majesco Europe Managing Director Chris Meredith commented, “We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce this continuation to our excellent working relationship with VUGI who has continually proven its excellence in the publishing field. We have a stellar line-up of products and this continued strategic partnership reinforces both parties commitment to launching top quality titles into the European marketplace.”

We are extremely pleased to be able to continue our successful working relationship with Majesco. This relationship has been founded on hard work and great products, both of which will still be evident going forward. Majesco has some fantastic titles in the pipeline which compliment our own high quality line-up so the partnership could not be better suited for success”, commented Christophe Ramboz, President and COO, Vivendi Universal Games International.

Included among the titles in the product portfolio are the sequel to the 1m unit-selling BloodRayne™ and two impressive new intellectual properties, Black9™ and Advent Rising™, both of which were publicly unveiled for the first time at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) show in Los Angeles, May 2003.

Black9 is an exciting new action / RPG that weaves intense game play through a captivating story, with streamlined RPG-style character development. In Black9, players encounter rival mercenaries, assassins, spies and soldiers as they battle through fascinating environments on Earth, the moon and Mars. Developed by Taldren, Black9 will be released for play on next generation consoles and PC.

Advent Rising is an intergalactic action / adventure of truly epic proportions and the first in a trilogy of games and novels. Advent Rising is akin to a fast-paced action movie where the player is swept up in an ever-evolving series of sequences and events. Award-winning science fiction author Orson Scott Card has embellished the gripping storyline that will thrust gamers and readers alike into an intergalactic quest. Advent Rising is being developed by GlyphX Games for Xbox and PC, and is scheduled for release in 2004.
